Group One is led by Dennis Fine SC and comprises almost 100 members of whom 26 are senior counsel.

The Group offers a wide variety of expertise and experience. The core expertise of the Group is however in the commercial field, including commercial transactions of every kind and the various types of litigation to which such transactions give rise.

Included under the general description 'commercial practice' are highly specialised fields where the Group's members are amongst the leaders in their field such as insolvency, telecommunications, insurance, employee benefits, mining, information technology, banking, environmental law and unlawful competition.
