Carien van der Linde

Carien van der Linde was called to the bar in 2016. 

She holds a BA LLB  from Stellenbosch University, an Advanced Certificate in Tax Law (with distinction) from UNISA, a LLM in Banking Law from the University of Johannesburg and a LLM in Constitutional Property Law from UNISA.

She practised as an attorney; having first completed her articles of clerkship at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr in 2012 and then working at the Legal Resources Centre specialising in property law and the right to housing.

She has appeared in the High Court, Gauteng Division in Pretoria and the High Court Local Division in Johannesburg as well as in various Magistrates Courts. She has acted on behalf of private as well as commercial clients.

She is a general commercial litigator with particular experience and interest in banking law, company law, insurance law and insolvency law.
