Malebo Moropa

Malebo holds an LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. She also holds a Master of Laws in International Business Law (cum laude) from Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris, France.

She is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates. After completing her vocational training with Lincoln’s Inn in London, she was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister in 2024.

Malebo commenced her practice with the Pretoria Society of Advocates (“the Pretoria Bar”) in 2015 and has served as an active member of the profession with roles on various committees of the Pretoria Bar, including its Training Committee and Professional and Ethics Committee. She was also elected a member of its Bar Council for the periods 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.

Having previously been admitted as an attorney, her practice over the years has had a strong focus on administrative and constitutional law with other practice areas including competition law, customs and excise, local government law, general corporate and civil law.

Malebo has appeared in the Constitutional Court of South Africa, the Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa, the High Courts of South Africa, the Labour Court of South Africa, the Labour Appeal Court of South Africa and the Land Claims Court. She has also appeared in the Competition Tribunal of South Africa on matters relating to collusive conduct and concerted practices. She has also been involved in arbitration proceedings of a commercial nature.
