Pranisha Maharaj-Pillay

Pranisha Maharaj-Pillay was called to the Bar in 2016.  She holds BA, LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Cape Town.

Before joining the Bar, Pranisha practiced as an attorney at ENSafrica and, prior to that, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.  During this time, she specialised in both contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law.

Pranisha has particular experience and interest in the areas of labour law and employee benefits, B-BBEE, administrative law and general commercial litigation.  She primarily acts for and advises local and multi-national clients in the financial services, hospitality, FMCG and mining industries as well as public sector employers.

Pranisha has appeared in the Labour Appeal Court, Labour Court, High Court, Competition Appeal Court as well as at various tribunals.  She has presented at various legal seminars and contributed to numerous local and international legal publications.
