Aasifa Saldulker

Aasifa joined the Bar in December 2014. She holds an LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg. After obtaining her degree, Aasifa was employed as a Judges’ Registrar at the Gauteng Local Division, Johannesburg for four years.

Prior to joining the Bar, Aasifa was admitted as an attorney and practiced for a few years at a leading law firm, Eversheds t/a Routledge Modise Inc.

Aasifa has a general litigation practice, with interests in matrimonial law, banking matters, commercial law and company law. She regularly appears in the motion court and trial court.

Aasifa is a counsel member of the South African Chapter for the International Association of Women Judges (SAC-IAWJ). 

She has sat on the Pupillage Committee for the Bar Council, has been an Assistant Honourary Secretary to the Bar Council (2019) and Honourary Secretary (2020).

Aasifa is presently an Assistant Electoral Officer for the annual Bar Council Elections.

Aasifa participates in the Advocacy Training for pupils, both as a trainer and tutor; sits as an oral examiner for the pupil annual oral examinations and is a motion court lecturer for the pupils. She presently serves on the Group One Executive Committee.
