The Bailey and Dennis Fine Library
The Group’s common room and new members executive lounge named The Bailey in honour of the memory of the Group’s late Office Administrator Ms Leverne Bailey which also houses the Dennis Fine Library was opened for use on Tuesday the 18th of July 2023. It was officially opened by our Group Leader Mohammed Chohan SC together with Madam Justice Saldulker of the Supreme Court of Appeal at the Group One Women at Law symposium held on the 26th of August 2023 in honour of Woman’s Day.
The Bailey and Dennis Fine Library is situated on the second floor at the end of the South (longer) corridor. It has a balcony that opens-up to and overlooks the Sandton skyline to the North-East. The state of art members’ lounge operates as an executive lounge similar to an executive or club lounge. It is fitted with a dining area, a study area as well as a small private area which members can use to work in or consult.
The Bailey is commonly used to host the Group’s various practice development programmes and seminar as well as the annual Jules Browde public lecture series.
