Anton Myburgh SC

Anton Myburgh commenced practise at the Johannesburg Bar in 1997 and took silk in 2010. He has a special interest in employment law. He has appeared in a wide range of leading labour law judgments, and has acted as a judge of the Labour Court on a number of occasions. He has published widely in employment law, including a series of articles in the Industrial Law Journal on the review test. He is currently an adjunct professor of law at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and lectures extensively in employment law. He is a member of the Rules Board of the Labour Courts, a honorary member of the South African Society of Labour Law (having served two terms as its national president) and a member of the local organising committee of the 2015 World Congress of the International Society of Labour and Social Security Law. He appears regularly in Botswana, is also admitted in Lesotho, and acts as an arbitrator.
