Called to the Johannesburg Bar in 1978 after completing an LLB degree at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Silk conferred in 1992.
Appointed to the High Court as an acting judge in 1994, 1996 and 2003.
Areas of specialisation are mining, insurance and regulated industries.
Co-author of the leading textbook on mining law in South Africa, South African Mineral & Petroleum Law.
Member of AFSA’s arbitration and appeal panels.
