Ian joined the Bar in December 2017. He holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and an LLM (International Law) from the University of Edinburgh.

Ian has a general practice with particular interest in: intellectual property law, administrative law, environmental law, media law, international law, and general commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the Bar Ian practised as an attorney specialising in intellectual property litigation and commercialisation. He co-authored the South African chapter of Brand Protection Online: A Practical Guide to Protection from Online Infringement, published by Globe Law and Business.
