Prior to joining the Bar, Larisha practiced as an attorney in a general litigation and corporate law firm. She has since lectured Intellectual Property law to fourth year LLB and LLM students at the University of the Witwatersrand on a sessional basis.

Larisha also served as a member of the Bar Council of the Johannesburg Society Advocates from 2022 to 2024.

Larisha conducts a general commercial practice in the public and private spheres, advising, litigating and arbitrating in insolvency, B-BBEE, contractual disputes, company law, pension, public procurement and administrative law, as well as media and telecoms matters.

Larisha has appeared as lead counsel and as junior with senior counsel in the following notable matters:

 As a doctoral researcher, Larisha has been involved in two projects: First, a joint research project between the University of Warwick (UK) in collaboration with the University of Nairobi and the University of the Witwatersrand, entitled: Regulating the Migration of Health Data in Sub-Saharan Africa; investigating the migration of health data through the use of mHealth apps, seeking to protect data subjects’ privacy in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa; and second, a Gates Foundation project considering streamlining data governance and regulatory frameworks in Sub-Saharan Africa to ensure responsible data sharing in global health research.
