They were admitted to the Johannesburg Bar in December 2020.

 They hold an LLB (cum laude) degree from Stellenbosch University and an LLM (summa cum laude) from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Prior to joining the Bar, they worked as an associate at Bowman Gilfillan. After Bowman, they clerked at the Constitutional Court for Justice Madlanga. They were awarded the UCLA Health and Human Rights Fellowship to pursue a Masters at UCLA. 

 They have guested lectured at Stellenbosch University, the University of the Witwatersrand, and the University of Pretoria.
