Mark Costa

Mark joined the Bar in 2010. His practice includes general commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contract law, insurance, construction, pension fund law and property law.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Mark practiced as an Attorney at a leading law firm in Sandton and was also admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary.

Mark holds the following qualifications:

• LLB (cum laude), University of Pretoria;
• LLM (Contract Law) (cum laude), University of Pretoria;
• LLM (Insurance Law) (cum laude), University of London.

Mark was awarded, inter alia, the Harold Galasko prize for the final year LLB student with the highest average in the prescribed final year modules, the Grotius Bar Medal for the final year LLB student with the highest average in the final year LLB examinations, and the Juta prize for the student with the highest average in all four modules of an LLM degree by coursework.
