Nelsie Siboza

Nelsie was called to the Bar in December 2021.
Before being called to the Bar, she completed her articles at Werksmans Attorneys.
For a short while thereafter, she was enrolled on the non-practicing roll of attorneys while she completed her masters degree in law (with specialisation in administrative law, international law and human rights advocacy and litigation) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
After the completion of her pupillage, Nelsie took a stint at the Constitutional Court of South Africa, serving as a law clerk for Justice Owen Rogers, Acting Justice Dunstan Mlambo (as he then was) and Acting Justice Pule Tlaletsi.
She commenced practice in 2023, and is presently in her third year. Nelsie holds a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Pretoria, and a master of laws degree, from the University of the Witwatersrand.
During her time as a student at the University of Pretoria, she served as the deputy chief justice of UP’s student court. She also worked in the department of Jurisprudence and Legal Philosophy as a teaching assistant for first year law students.
Nelsie has a heart for campus and academia, and often participates in teaching and speaking engagements. She has also contributed to legal journal articles. Since commencing practice, she has appeared in a number of high profile matters in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and divisions of the High Court of South Africa.
When she has the spare time, she is up for an upcycling project.
