Riaz Itzkin

Riaz joined the Bar in 2014. He holds LLB and LLM degrees (both cum laude) from the University of Johannesburg. He was formerly an attorney.

Riaz has appeared in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, the Botswana Court of Appeal, the Labour Appeal Court, the Labour Court, the High Court and various arbitrations. He has represented prominent corporates, public sector employers, bargaining councils, trade unions and individuals.

Riaz has particular experience and interest in labour law and commercial litigation, and he has acted as a Judge in the Labour Court.

He authored the Practice and Procedure section of Reviews in the Labour Courts (LexisNexis, 2016), and has presented papers in the labour law field at various conferences and seminars.
