Siegrid Schulenburg

Prior to joining the Bar, Siegrid practised as an attorney in Johannesburg for ten years from 1996 until 2006, during which time she obtained experience in civil, matrimonial, and commercial litigation.

Siegrid worked for a three-year period as a Chief Director in the Department of Justice and was the project manager of the Review of the Criminal Justice System, a project mandated by cabinet.

She was employed as a Legal Advisor and project manager for Khulisa Social Solutions for six years until 2015, where she was the project manager responsible for all internationally funded projects.

Siegrid’s practice centres on family and commercial mediation, criminal matters, evictions, commercial litigation, medical negligence, and family law matters including divorces, guardianship applications, surrogacy applications and matters involving the Hague Convention of the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, 1996 and the Children’s Act.

She achieved accreditation as a mediator from Conflict Dynamics in September 2022 and from CEDR in November 2022.
