Diploma in Law (UNISA); LLB (UNISA); Additional module Public International Law (UNISA).

In addition to the above Monene completed a Trustee Leadership Development Program for a period of three months organised by and in collaboration with Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria and Council for Medical Schemes South Africa.

Monene joined the Johannesburg Bar in December 2018. Prior to joining the Johannesburg Bar she was a student of the University Of South Africa (UNISA). Monene came straight from University after serving in Student Representative bodies. In 2017, shortly before Monene came to the Johannesburg Bar she Chaired the Student Representative Council at UNISA.

In 2022, Monene was appointed as a Board of Trustee of Bonitas Medical Fund, for a period of 5 years.

Monene is a general litigator with experience and interest in administrative and public law, medical negligence, constitutional law, human rights law, family law, labour law and regulatory law.
