Usha Dayanand-Jugroop

Usha was called to the Bar in 2010.  Her areas of practice include administrative law, general commercial law, construction law, and an interest in intellectual property law and competition law. Usha has appeared in the High Court, Labour and Labour Appeal Courts, the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court. Usha is a Conflict Dynamics accredited mediator. 

Prior to embarking on a legal career, Usha worked as a broadcast journalist in radio and television news and current affairs for almost 10 years. 

In 2008, she clerked for Justice Kate O’ Regan at the Constitutional Court. 

Usha holds a BA (Journ) degree from Rhodes University and an LL.B from Unisa. She has completed courses on copyright, trademarks and international trademarks with SAIIPL.
